BEVERLY HILLS, November 02, (THEWILL) – Amaju Melvin Pinnick, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has expressed the determination of the Federation to support the Super Falcons to fulfill their potential of being one of the best women’s teams in the world.
He expressed this pledge at the headquarters of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) in Abuja during a visit.
Pinnick noted, “We have gotten a new coach for the senior women national team and there are new foreign-based Nigerian players who have declared their interest to play for the country. These are young and enterprising players that will help us prove that winning women AFCON is our birthright.”
He also made public plans by the NFF to organise at least two friendly matches for the team to get them in shape for their competitive engagements.
THEWILL recalls that the NFF recently contracted American Randy Waldrum, coach of the University of Pittsburgh Panthers women’s soccer team, to coach the Falcons following the unceremonious exit of the Swede Thomas Dennerby from the team.
