November 13, (THEWILL) – Basketmouth has stated that before his foray into comedy and acting, his first career path was music.
The 43-year-old entertainer disclosed this on his Instagram page on Friday, accompanying the post with pictures of him and Ductorsett, the budding Nigerian producer.
Basketmouth stated that he had to venture into comedy and acting before music since the timing wasn’t right.
“Most people do not know this but music was my first love, then TV before comedy,” he wrote.
“I had to do it backwards as the timing wasn’t right & I hadn’t met a producer that can see music the way I see it……in its true form & color. God bless the day I met you.”
The comedian recently teamed up with Tuface and Blaqbonez for ‘Trouble,’ his much-anticipated single.
In November 2020, Basketmouth came through with ‘Yabasi’, a soundtrack album for ‘Papa Benji’, his comedy series.
The album featured artists like Ladipoe, BOJ, The Cavemen, Bez, Waje, Duncan Mighty, Flavour, and Phyno.
