SAN FRANCISCO, March 03, (THEWILL) – Three suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers have died in an explosion which rocked Maiduguri in the early hours of Friday.
The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, disclosed that the blasts occurred around the NNPC depot along Damboa Road in the Borno state capital.
In a series of tweets on @nemanigeria, the agency posted that three petrol tankers destroyed by the explosion from the incident.
According to NEMA, “Three 3 suspected suicide bombers died along Damboa Road, Maiduguri as a result of explosions in early hours of today.
“Affected are three petrol tankers which were burnt as a result of the incident.
“The fire has been brought under control and casualties have been evacuated.”
