SAN FRANCISCO, January 09, (THEWILL) – Moyo Thomas, the lady at the middle of the First City Monument Bank, FCMB, sex scandal, has finally spoken out, addressing the paternity of her children.

Moyo, who used to be married to Tunde Thomas, who passed on in December 2020, says contrary to claims that she informed her late ex-husband that he wasn’t the father of her children, she never told him anything of such.

In a petition addressed to the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, by friends of the late Tunde Thomas, they alleged that Moyo, a former employee of FCMB, following her separation from her husband, had informed her husband that she was leaving Nigeria for the United States with the kids. Only to call him upon arrival that the children did not belong to him and were fathered by Adam Nuru, the bank’s managing director. Thomas, they said, died as a result of the trauma after learning of the incident.

In a statement newly-released, Moyo said she has refrained from responding to the matter for various reasons, one of which is to preserve the memories of Tunde. She admitted that she and Tunde had a lot of differences while they were married, some of which led to police intervention.

This may perhaps be the reason why they separated.

She however insisted that on no occasion did she ever tell Tunde he was not the father of their two children, terming the alleged insinuation that she did, as malicious and deliberate falsehood. She added that the children still bear Tunde’s name and that up until he died, he still had conversations with the children like any father would.

Moyo however failed to address her relationship with Nuru, who is currently on suspension to allow for further investigations into the paternity scandal, by the bank. He also denied fathering the children.
