May 19, (THEWILL) – Jude Abaga, aka MI and music journalist, Joey Akan, have engaged in war of words on Twitter.

It all started after Akan tweeted and asked why US rapper, DaBaby did not hook up with local rappers at least to greet them when he came to Nigeria.

He stressed that Nigerian rappers should be respected and he decided to lash out at them by saying, “You rappers should go and drag Davido since entitlement is usually your first name.”

He ended his tweet with laughing emojis.

Akan’s outburst obviously did not go down well with MI, who responded in a fit of rage, calling the journalist all sort of names.

In his response, the music act referred to Akan as, “vile minded” who he says always “demeans the efforts of the hip hop community.”

According to him, the journalist is a “persona non grata” who is not welcomed in the culture.”

Reacting to his post, Akan alleged that the rapper “ruined the lives” of other people who wanted to be part of the hip pop industry.

In a follow up post, Akan claimed the singer had contacted him to “ruin the careers of other artistes.”

He also alleged that the rapper hates him because he refused to be part of his antics.

“I’ve stood you up 3 times MI, when you wanted to use me to attack an artiste, you have ruined their career. I refused and you have hated me for it.

“Leaking dirts further on your artiste to further damage their career. You know why I never attended those meetings? Because you’re evil.”
