BEVERLY HILLS, April 25, (THEWILL) – One of the best performers this season for French Champions, Paris Saint-Germain, and who was instrumental to their semi-final place in this season’s UEFA Champions League has been the French forward Kylian Mbappe. His fine vein of form this season has reflected in the domestic game as well, with 25 goals in 29 matches for the current League leaders.

It was in the latest game in Ligue 1, after he had entered his name twice on the scoresheet, that he suffered an injury scare on Saturday against Metz. The difference he can bring to the team made it a significant blow for PSG especially as it is only a week before they meant Manchester City in the first leg of their semi-final fixture.

That was why many French football fans had been on the lookout for the latest on the fitness of Kylian Mbappe, worried that without his involvement, qualifying out of the quarter-finals stage may be a thoroughly steep climb. An update from the French newspaper L’Equipe has come with information that will please PSG’s fans and supporters ahead of the Champions League semi-finals.

On hand to set aside any concerns of a long spell on the sidelines for Mbappe, L’Equipe reported that the player was in no physical disability and should be available to face off against Pep Guardiola’s charges on Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes home of the French champions.

The assurances were confirmed by Mbappe, who uploaded a story to his Instagram page showing himself undergoing some form of training regimen. Furthermore, in his post-match remarks, Pochettino addressed the call to substitute the Frenchman: “Mbappe got a hit on the thigh, we think it’s nothing serious.”

It has also been favourable news for City. On Wednesday night, they received fitness boosts from the returning of star duo of Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero. The pair are in the squad that will be travelling with the team to London this weekend, to slug it out against Tottenham Hotspur.
