SAN FRANCISCO, March 05, (THEWILL) – Arsenal have reached a verbal agreement with Massimiliano Allegri to replace Arsene Wenger this summer, according to theSunday Express, UK.
The Juventus boss has been in talks with the Gunners for over three months and will replace the Frenchman if he steps down at the end of the season.
The Gunners hierarchy also want to know Wenger’s decision over his future by the end of March.
Daily Star also reports that Wenger will quit Arsenal this summer if the abuse he gets from the club’s fans continues.
According to those close to the Gunners chief, his patience with the relentless snipers is close to running out and his mind is all but made up not to extend his 21-year reign beyond the end of the season.
Unless there is a dramatic and rapid shift in mood among the unhappy Emirates faithful, it seems Wenger, 67, will reluctantly walk away in June.
