May 25, (THEWILL) – Sadio Mane has stated that he will reveal his future plans, following Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid.
The Senegal international’s contract at Anfield expires in a year, and he has been linked with a transfer away, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona both keen on signing him. Since their failed attempt to get Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid has been connected as well.
Yet, Liverpool are neither perturbed regarding Mane’s contract situation nor are they disturbed about losing the striker. On his part, the 30-year-old has revealed he will make a public declaration about his future shortly.
When asked about his future plans recently, Mane responded: “For sure it will be special to win [the Champions League], to make it seven. But to answer your question, I will answer it after the Champions League.”
Mane is unlikely to demand a transfer away from Anfield, and his wage demands are thought to range from £250,000 to £300,000 per week. His strike partner, Mohamed Salah, also has a year left on his contract, albeit his expectations are significantly higher than Mane’s. On Wednesday, the Egyptian also stated that he wanted to stay at Liverpool next season, as THEWILL reported.
