SAN FRANCISCO, October 12, (THEWILL) – Liverpool midfielder, Naby Keita, has tested positive for Coronavirus as he becomes the latest player in the team to contract the disease.
According to available reports, the 25-year-old Guinean footballer contracted the virus while on international duties and has now entered self-isolation.
Keita becomes the fourth Liverpool player to contract the virus after Thiago Alcantara, Sadio Mane and Xherdan Shaqiri also returned positive tests in the over the last few weeks.
Although, the Reds and the Guinea national team are yet to confirm the report but a number of Guinean journalists have already confirmed the report.
If the report is true, the midfielder will not be available for Saturday’s Merseyside derby against Everton.
