BEVERLY HILLS, April 23, (THEWILL) – American rapper, Lathan Moses Stanley Echols, better known as Lil Mosey, has reportedly been declared wanted by police for rape.
THEWILL writes that If convicted, the rapper is facing a maximum sentence of life in prison.
According to TMZ, the rapper has been charged with second-degree rape arising from an alleged incident in January 2021.
Due to his failure to show up in court on Wednesday, the 19-year-old Washington rapper has now been declared wanted by law enforcement.
The “Blueberry Faygo” rapper was reportedly charged with second-degree rape few weeks ago ahead of this week’s scheduled court date but he failed to appear.
Earlier this year, a woman had claimed that she and a friend went to visit Lil Mosey, but alleged that she was raped by the rapper and another man, who the Chronicle reports is named Francisco P. Prater.
An affidavit received by the Chronicle stated that one of the alleged victims agreed to have sex with Lil Mosey in a car, but the woman disclosed that she was no longer coherent after drinking White Claw alcoholic beverages and champagne.
She alleged that she woke with Mosey on top of her as he pushed her legs up and apart.
The woman also stated that she experienced pain in her leg muscles as the singer continued to push her legs and she blacked out a second time and awoke to the other unnamed man forcing himself on her.
She claimed to have sustained bruising on her arm, neck, and inner knee.
