Late Nigerian Rapper Dagrin Declared Wanted For Crime 12 Years After Death

August 19, (THEWILL) – Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, popularly known as Dagrin, has been declared wanted in Sierra Leone, twelve years after his unfortunate demise.

The Nigerian music industry was thrown into mourning 12 years ago when the young, super talented icon, Dagrin, died in a car accident.

His car collided with a stationary heavy-duty vehicle in front of Alakara Police Station, off Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos.

He died at exactly 6 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital, LUTH. He was age 26. The singer was buried on Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Ebony Millennium Private Vault, Atan Cemetery.

In a fresh development, the police in Sierra Leone have declared the late Dagrin and some other young boys wanted for taking part in a violent protest last week.

His picture, where he was shirtless and holding a gun, is among the pictures of criminals released by the authorities on the wanted list.

The street rapper from Ogun state won the hearts of many Nigerians with his unique style of music. It has been very difficult to forget Dagrin because of his raw talent and street music.
