Lagos State PDP Eulogises Shodipe-Dosunmu

September 09, (THEWILL) – Members of the Lagos state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday eulogised the party’s late secretary, Prince Muiz Shodipe-Dosunmu.

Shodipe-Dosunmu, who died on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, after a brief illness, was the party’s secretary from 2017 till his death.

Speaking during a prayer session organised to mark the 41st day of Shodipe-Dosunmu’s death in Lagos, the party said it lost its secretary at a time his dedication and hardwork were needed.

Speaking at the occasion, the South West secretary of the PDP, Mr Rahman Owokoniran, described Shodipe-Dosunmu as a forthright, dedicated and loyal member of the PDP.

“He served the party with all his heart and energy and he died at a time the party needed him most.

“He was gentle, orderly and was forthright. He was a dedicated party man. We will miss him,” Owokoniran said.

Chief Taiwo Kuye, a chieftain of the party and former member of the party’s South West Caretaker Committee, described the late secretary as a “unifier. One who was at home with everybody. We loved him, we cherished his good work while alive and the PDP will miss his dedication and love for our great party”.

The prayer session was held at the deceased’s elder brother’s, Prince Uthman Shodipe-Dosunmu, residence in Lekki, Lagos state. Present were party members and leaders from the local governments and local development areas in Lagos state, Christian and Muslim leaders, and family members, including the deceased’s children and wife.
