August 09, (THEWILL) – Music act, Daniel Anidugbe, aka Kizz Daniel, has apologised for failing to perform in Tanzania last week.
The music star was earlier arrested in Tanzania for not showing up at the concert he was paid to headline last Sunday.
But a few hours after his arrest on Monday, he was released from police custody.
A press conference was done on Tuesday, to address the issues surrounding his absence from the event. The singer revealed his behaviour was not intentional.
He also promised to perform for free in Tanzania on Friday.
“This Friday, a free show, by the way, I will be partnering with Straight Up Vibes to make that happen. I must apologise to the fans. None of this was intentional”, Daniel said.
Stephen Uwah, the show organiser, earlier alleged that Daniel refused to perform because he was not wearing his gold chain.
Uwah said he paid the singer $60,000 to perform at the show.
“He only said the airline didn’t bring his bag. That is why he could not perform because his gold chain is not there and he had a gold chain on his neck. He wanted everything.
“I bought him different clothes, but he said just because the airline didn’t bring one of his bags, he cannot perform without his gold on his neck”, Uwah stated.
