SAN FRANCISCO, June 19, (THEWILL) – A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mr. Olumide Odimayo, was on Monday found dead in a riverine community in Ese-Odo local government area of the state.
THEWILL recalls that Odimayo, a prominent leader of the APC in Ese-Odo and the state at large, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Thursday.
The APC Publicity Secretary in the state, Prince Abayomi Adesanya, confirmed the development, saying the incident has been reported to the police and is currently under investigation.
He revealed that the corpse was found near Ogolo River, between Sabomi and Igbotu communities in Ese-Odo.
“The late politician’s corpse was found by local vigilantes,” Adesanya said.
“This incident has thrown the party into mourning.”
