SAN FRANCISCO, October 15, (THEWILL) – The Kano State House of Assembly has commissioned a 7-member committee to investigate the authenticity of a video showing governor Abdullahi Ganduje receiving alleged bribe in United States dollars from someone believed to be a contractor.
The video was published last week on the website of The Daily Nigerian.
The committee was constituted following a motion of urgent public importance filed by the member representing Warawa constituency, Mr. Labaran Abdul Madari, seconded by the member representing Kano municipal constituency, Baffa Babba Danagundi.
The Kano State government had dismissed the video as fabricated and described the author as a serial blackmailer even though the newspaper said it authenticated it before releasing it to the public.
