April 01, (THEWILL) – After Julius Agwu, also known as Julius D’Genius, had a successful brain surgery in Houston Texas, about six years ago, many were excited that the father of two had been given a new lease of life.
However, a few years after the surgery that almost claimed his life, there are indications that the comedian is still not enjoying the best of health. Not only has he been maintaining a low profile, he now moves around with the aid of a walking stick.
His mobility has been badly affected due to the sickness he suffered in the past. And he can no longer stand for too long without the support of his walking aid. As a result, the comedian cum actor is rarely seen outdoors except for very important issues that requires his urgent attention. Many have alluded his health challenge as being spiritual and he has been advised to move closer to God for a lasting solution.
Despite his incapacitation, he has made frantic efforts to resuscitate his career. In 2019, he launched the peace concept for his famous show, Crack Ya Ribs in Kaduna State. The first edition was a huge success and it was graced by some up and coming comedians. The 2021 edition of the show was staged in Kaduna and Port-Harcourt. The two shows were well attended, but were not hugely publicised by the comedian. It was gathered that he is warming up for this year’s edition of the Easter Crack Ya Ribs show in Kaduna.
The event will take place on April 17, 2022 at Epitome Event Centre, Barnawa, Kaduna. It will feature Seyi Law, Jawon, Mr Parrot and other upcoming comedians.
