BEVERLY HILLS, CA, June 19, (THEWILL) – President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Thursday appointed Mrs. Roli Bode-George as the Director-General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), a Presidency statement said.
Roli is the wife of Chief Bode George, the controversial leader of the ruling Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in Lagos and former Chairman of the Nigeria Ports Authority.
Mrs. Bode-George takes over from Mr. Olufemi Ajayi, who is now the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
Her appointment takes immediate effect, Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity said in the statement.
