BEVERLY HILLS, October 05, (THEWILL) – Famous Japanese fashion designer, Kenzo Takada, aka Kenzo, has died at the age of 81.
The fashionista died at the American Hospital of Paris in Neuilly-sur-Seine in France on Sunday following complications from COVID-19.
Kenzo, who retired from the fashion industry following the sale of his brand to LVMH, the world’s biggest luxury group, inspired many designers after him with his creativity.
“Paris is mourning one of its sons today,” Paris Mayor, Anne Hidalgo, wrote on Twitter.
LVMH’s Chairman and CEO Bernard, Arnault said the deceased “infused into fashion a tone of poetic lightness and sweet freedom which inspired many designers after him”.
