SAN FRANCISCO, September 09, (THEWILL) – Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, says it took her a few years before she came to terms with her divorce from former hubby, Tunji Balogun aka Teebillz.
The “kele kele love” crooner stated this while speaking with New York Times, where she talked about her new album ‘Celia’ and her journey in the music industry in Nigeria.
She said: “It’s definitely the first time I’m being vulnerable,” she said, adding that it had taken years to come to terms with the breakup.
“When we first started, it was just like, ‘Me and you, we’re going to conquer the world.’ And then it got to a point where the brand was getting big, and when I had to make a decision, it wasn’t just me and you.”
THEWILL reports that Teebillz and the music star, Tiwa Savage, got married in 2013 but the marriage crashed in 2016.
