May 27, (THEWILL) – Inter Milan wingback, Ivan Perisic, is anticipated to give the club an answer about his future by early next week, and the Nerazzurri are cautiously optimistic that he will stay.
The Croatian winger will inform the club if he will accept their contract offer or depart for another club this summer. It is believed that the warm reaction he received from Inter fans following the Sampdoria game will influence his decision to stay.
A two-year contract worth €5 million net per season plus a bonus is on the table. Despite the fact that the player is being courted by top clubs such as last season’s UEFA Champions League champions, Chelsea and Serie A heavyweights, Juventus, Inter has tabled this deal with an option for a third year.
Yet, according to certain sources, Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of signing Perisic ahead of the Blues and the Old Lady, and the wingback is said to have accepted personal terms with Spurs.
