INEC Writes PDP Ahead Of Anambra Polls, Insists Oguebego Is Party’s State Chairman

SAN FRANCISCO, August 11, (THEWILL) – With barely three months to the governorship election in Anambra State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has written another letter to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) insisting that it would not recognize Mr. Ken Emeakayi, as the Anambra State Chairman of the PDP, contrary to the position of the national office of the ruling party.

In the letter from the office of the Secretary of INEC, dated August 11, 2013, and addressed to the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, INEC named Mr. Ejike Ogbuebego, as the party’s Anambra State Chairman.

INEC also issued a press statement on Sunday where it reiterated its position on Ogbuebego as PDP chairman in Anambra State.
