SAN FRANCISCO, November 10, (THEWILL) – Barely 24 hours after it declined to list a governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC late Friday listed Senator Hope Uzodimma as the governorship candidate of the party ahead of Uche Nwosu, the preferred candidate of Governor Rochas Okorocha, who has been in a bitter tussle with the national executive of the party over the ticket.
Akaolisa Cyprain Okechukwu was listed as Uzodinma’s running mate in the notice posted at the agency’s Port Harcourt road office in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
THEWILL gathered that INEC’s dramatic turn around followed the order of a court.
