November 21, (THEWILL) – The organisers of the Africa Choice Awards have stated that a former BBNaija contestant, Ike Onyema, and actress Sandra Okunzuwa will host this year’s edition of the event.
Speaking on the decision, the executive producer of the ceremony, Theo Olele, said, “Ike and Sandra are past winners of the awards, so they know what it means to be on that stage. Both of them have also excelled in their various fields, from starring in blockbuster movies and hosting shows across the continent. This made us choose them as suitable fits for this year’s edition”.
Speaking on how he feels about hosting the award, Onyema said, “I am so honoured to be the host for the third edition of the Africa Choice Awards. I am so excited.”
Okunzuwa said, “I feel honoured and elated. I have been looking forward to hosting this event and I am glad that I am finally getting to do it.”
This year’s edition of the awards has 187 nominees from 15 African countries in 28 categories,including Burna Boy, Wizkid and Nnegi.
