“I Am Feeling Better” – Buhari Tells Kano Governor As Imams, Clerics Prayed Over His Health

BEVERLY HILLS, February 22, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken with the Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, extending his appreciation to Nigerians for their goodwill and prayers.

Buhari spoke for about three minutes in vernacular, via telephone, with Ganduje, while a prayer session was ongoing at the Africa House, Government House, Kano, revealing that his condition has improved and that he is feeling better.

Ganduje put the President on speaker phone and had the phone close to the microphone so that the audience could hear the President, who has been in London treating an undisclosed ailment.

“Alhamdulillah (all praise be to Allah)”, Buhari said when Ganduje inquired “how are you feeling now Your Excellency?

Ganduje told the President that Islamic scholars and Imams in Kano were praying for his speedy recovery during the prayer session which was broadcast live by local radio stations in Kano.

The President remarked “Maa shaa Allah (God willed it)”, as he expressed the hope that the prayers will be accepted and asked the governor to extend his best wishes to the Islamic scholars.

Ganduje enjoined Nigerians to continue to pray for the well being of the President and the success of his administration insisting that from the voice of the President, his health has greatly improved expressing the hope that the President would get well soon and return to Nigeria.

“We prayed for Buhari to win and he won. It is now mandatory on us to rally round his government and pray for his wellbeing,” Ganduje said.

THEWILL recalls that the President has been on a prolonged medical vacation in London with sparse details about his health condition. No date has been set for his return.
