Hushpuppi Pleads Guilty To Fraud Charges, May Incur $1.7m Payback And 20 Years In US Jail

July 29, (THEWILL) – Popular Instagram celebrity, Ramon Abbas, better known as Hushpuppi, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in money laundering of funds from business email compromise scams and other online heists.
Journalist Evan Ratiff, who revealed copies of the agreement, disclosed that Hushpuppi now faces up to 20 years in prison at sentencing.
According to the available information, the agreement he entered is limited to the United States Attorney’s Office and not binding to other Federal, state, local or foreign prosecuting authorities.
Hushpuppi will henceforth not contest facts entered in the agreement and abide by all agreements concerning his sentencing.
Also, he is expected to be truthful at all times with the United States probation and pretrial services office and the court.
The Instagram celebrity will also pay close to $1.7 million as restitution but this is subject to facts that come up prior to sentencing.
