BEVERLY HILLS, April 05, (THEWILL) – The beauty and hospitality world is in mourning following the death of Funmi Namabiri, the London hair entrepreneur behind famous hair brand, Funmi Hair. The Osun State born indigene who ran Helena Hair Care Ltd in the UK, succumbed to the debilitating effect of brain tumor which she suffered from for a long time.
More shocking is the fact that she suffered from the illness for so long and never let anyone in on what she was going through. Not one to bother people with her personal problems, she went about with poise and grace until she breathed her last. Her friends, family members and particularly the beauty world at large will forever remain grateful to her for producing her hair extension and wig brand which was of the highest quality, such that the Chinese known for knock offs, tried in vain to replicate the hair brand without success.
The hair business which she started over 40 years ago still remains the most sought after hair brand by women who recognize quality and aren’t afraid to pay for it regardless of its cost. Funmi while she was alive, detailed the success of her hair brand in a book she authored titled, ‘The Secret Of Funmi Hair’. She is survived by her children and her Bayelsa born husband, Prince Isaac Namabiri, a former banker, who ran the family businesses with her; Funmi Hair and a resort, Praise Banquet Hotel and Resort, located in her home state.
