May 28, (THEWILL) – Member representing Obubra Etung Federal Constituency, Rt.Hon. Mike Etaba, has secured a ticket to represent Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress.
Rt. Hon. Etaba won the primaries with an overwhelming 75 votes to beat his rival, Prince Ntui Ogar, who polled 21 votes in the primaries.
With his victory, Rt. Hon. Etaba created history as the first public office holder from the Obubra axis to have won a third term into the green Chambers of the House of Representatives in that federal constituency.
In a post primary election speech to the electorates, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba expressed his deep gratitude and high regards to all those who made it possible.
He equally commended the conduct of his main opponent in the primaries, Prince Ntui Ogar, for accepting defeat, noting that elections were decided by the people’s will and should not be seen as a do or die affair.
He pledged to continuously serve the interest of the people of his federal constituency to the best of his knowledge.
He also promised to utilise the opportunity offered by the third term victory to completely salvage the entire federal constituency.
He also expressed appreciation to the state governor, His Excellency, Senator (Prof.) Ben Ayade, Governor of Cross River State, for giving him the opportunity to serve his people once more.
He equally thanked the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Eba Alphonsus and the entire executive committee of the party for ensuring a level playing ground for all aspirants.
