Hoffenheim Defender, Kevin Akpoguma Agrees To Play For Nigeria

SAN FRANCISCO, September 19, (THEWILL) – Amaju Pinnick, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), says Hoffenheim defender, Kevin Akpoguma, has pledged to play for the Super Eagles and has switched allegiance from Germany to Nigeria.

Akpoguma, who is born to a German mother and a Nigerian father, has played for German U16, U17, U18, U19, U20, and U21 teams.

He also captained the German U-20 team, assisting them to get to the quarterfinals in the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

“Already, Kelvin Agboguma and one other have already written to commit their future to Nigeria. They know that Nigeria is a big country to launch anybody higher than they imagine,” he said.
