Gunmen Attack Ebonyi LG Chairman’s Home, Kill Three Brothers

May 18, (THEWILL) – Unidentified gunmen, Tuesday night, attacked the country home of the Executive Council Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, Elder Steve Orgwu, killing three of his brothers.
An anonymous source disclosed that the hoodlums stormed the Chairman’s home in Ekpaomaka late Tuesday night, but Orgwu was not at home.
The unknown gunmen reportedly shot dead three of his brothers, as well as a neighbour whose identities were not yet clear as at the time of this report.
The source confirmed that the corpses of the victims were taken to a mortuary in Abakaliki same night.
The Tuesday sit-at-home, it was gathered was not successful in Abakaliki, as there was movements.
Heavy police presence and that of other security agents helped maintain normalcy in the state.
The unknown gunmen were believed to cash in on areas with less with security presence.
When contacted, the Ebonyi Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Lovet Odah (SP), said she was away on official assignment, but promised to confirm the incident.
