October 2, (THEWILL) – Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, have abducted the traditional ruler of Owa Onire, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba AbdulRahaman Ifabiyi, along with his wife and driver.
Spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the development on Sunday, said Police tactical teams with vigilantes and hunters were immediately dispatched on Saturday when the incident happened.
Ajayi noted that the efforts of the teams led to the rescue of the abducted wife of the traditional ruler.
He said two suspects involved in the kidnap have been arrested and helping the Command in its investigation.
Ajayi hinted at ongoing efforts to rescue the traditional ruler and his driver.
