BEVERLY HILLS, June 05, (THEWILL) – A huge crowd of bewildered and curious people this Sunday morning built up in front of the Synagogue Church of Nations (SCOAN) in Ikotun suburb of Alimosho Council in Lagos to verify the sad news of the death of the charismatic Pastor T.B. Joshua.

Sadly, they had their worst fear confirmed.

Seven days short of his 58th birthday on June 12, the “Man in the Synagogue,” Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, and a reputed miracle worker, has gone to be with the Maker he served so well.

Anonymous sources had around midnight told THEWILL that T.B. Joshua indeed was dead.

It was said he had finished an early morning service programme on Saturday when he retreated to his office above the main auditorium.

Suddenly, he complained of not feeling too well and shortly after breathed his last.

The Church has officially confirmed the sad event and has since issued a statement.

So has former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a close associate of the family and the ministry, who had initially dispelled what sounded like an incredible rumour only to return to affirm it.

SCOAN’s full statement says:

“PROPHET TB JOSHUA – JUNE 12th 1963 to JUNE 5th 2021

“Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7

“On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”

“God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.

“As Prophet TB Joshua says, “The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it”.

“Prophet TB Joshua leaves a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn.

“The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations and Emmanuel TV Family appreciate your love, prayers and concern at this time and request a time of privacy for the family.

“Here are Prophet TB Joshua’s last words: “Watch and pray.”

“One life for Christ is all we have; one life for Christ is so dear.”

On his part, Fani-Kayode wrote: “The passing of my brother TB Joshua saddens me deeply. At 3.00 am this morning I was told by one of his daughters that this was fake news & I tweeted as much. Sadly I was misled. 5 minutes ago the same person called me & confirmed the story.”

Aviation and tourism authorities have said that the Synagogue accounts for the single greatest destination for foreign visitors into the country.

Many of such worshippers come to hear the spiritually endowed Prophet preach and to receive miracles, and their testimonies were daily broadcast on the ministry’s satellite station, Emmanuel TV.
