October 26, (THEWILL) – Ashanti Gold of the Ghana Premier League has signed a kit sponsorship arrangement with Nigerian sportswear company OWU for the 2021/22 season.
OWU is one of Nigeria’s top sports manufacturers, and in 2019, they were the official kit partners of the country’s national handball team, providing them with jerseys and other items for all of their tournaments.
The Miners announced the news on their Facebook page: “We are delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached with Owu as our new kit sponsors.”
The Miners and Gimel, who used to be the club’s jersey sponsors from the previous season, have mutually split ways.
OWU is also scheduled to supply Ashgold with jerseys, training kits, tracksuits, bibs, and other football apparel for the new campaign, with an option to extend based solely on marketing.
In their first game of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, Ashanti Gold will take on Techiman Eleven Wonders.
