BEVERLY HILLS, August 14, (THEWILL) – Popular American rapper, Cardi B, is jubilating as her latest song, ‘WAP’, tops music charts in Ghana.
The song which features Megan Thee Stallion is the 5th track following Stonebwoy’s ‘Putuu’ on Apple Music’s chart of the most played 100 songs in Ghana.
Reacting to this, the rapper took to her Twitter handle saying: “I guess Ghana not mad at me nomoooo. I love Ghana always”.
THEWILL recalls that Ghanaian celebrities had trooped into the hotel of the American rapper when she visited the West African country last year but she didn’t come out to welcome them.
While they waited for her arrival, Cardi posted a video of herself chilling at the hotel’s poolside chewing kebab. This infuriated the Ghanaian celebrities, sparking a backlash as they felt disrespected.
However, the rapper has since explained that she wasn’t aware of the meeting and she is now happy that Ghanaians have forgotten about the past, as they are now listening to her song.
