BEVERLY HILLS, May 01, (THEWILL) – Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has said that the welfare of Nigerian workers remained paramount on the government’s table.
Gbajabiamila, who said Nigerian workers were worthy of being celebrated, noted the system remained stable due to their dedication and sacrifices.
Paying tributes to Nigerian workers on this year’s Workers’ Day the Speaker in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, said the welfare of workers would remain topmost to the government.
He was particularly elated by the resilience of Nigerian workers, whom he described as the bedrock of the society.
He said the 9 Ninth House of Representatives remained committed to improving the working conditions of workers through legislative interventions.
The Speaker called on workers to continue to give their best, stating that government must keep its side of the bargain to the workers.
