Gaidam Assures On APC’s Commitment To Change

SAN FRANCISCO, August 02, (THEWILL) – The Yobe State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam, has given an assurance that the newly-registered All Progressives Congress (APC) will remain committed to changing the political landscape in Nigeria.

Assuring that the mega party will not disappoint millions of Nigerians who had been agitating for change over the years, the Yobe governor said APC will remain strong, people-based and committed to transforming the nation.

Gaidam, who gave the assurance on Friday, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Press Affairs and Information, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, was reacting to the registration of the merger party by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),saying it was a good development.

While congratulating “all members of the new party and indeed all Nigerians on this significant democratic leap forward”, Gaidam, who is one of the leading promoters of the new party said the efforts of all the leaders of the new party who worked tirelessly, conscientiously and devoted long hours of thought, time and planning to ensure the realisation of the APC grand idea are well appreciated.

The governor said, with the selflessness and patriotism which resulted in the formation of the new party, he was confident that APC will become a strong and people-based political party capable of bringing about the fundamental changes needed in the country.

He therefore called on all leaders of the party to continue to demonstrate the sense of purpose which made the registration of the party possible and rally Nigerians around the common hopes and aspirations they all share for a better future.

“APC is the alternative that Nigerians want to build a stronger, united and more prosperous country and offers the assurances that the party will uphold and fulfill the expectations of the people,” he said.

He also called for a strong, broad-based support for the party to ensure the progress of the nation and the wellbeing of its people.
