March 13, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress and movie producers Funke Akindele-Bello and her colleague, Kemi Afolabi, have both stopped fighting and gone back to being very good friends. THEWILL had exclusively reported that the two actresses, who used to be quite close, were for many years at loggerheads with each other for reasons best known to them. They began their friendship from their undergraduate days as law students at the University of Lagos until they both veered into the film industry. Not long after they both made their names in the industry, they suddenly drifted apart and both refused to talk about what had gone wrong. This continued until early this year when Funke reached out to Kemi after the latter revealed that she near lost her life after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, prompting her to book a space at Ebony Vaults in preparation for her death.

Touched by the disclosure, Funke reached out to her with prayers, cash and other gift items and their friendship was rekindled. Shocked by this, Kemi, took to her social media, urging her followers to pray for and thank Funke on her behalf. Eulogising Funke as her first love from the university and the movie industry, Kemi thanked her for being the bigger person by reaching out to her, while also reiterating that she never stopped loving Funke despite their differences.

In recent time, Funke has been quietly reaching out to her colleagues, particularly from the Yoruba speaking part of Nollywood and rendering financial assistance to those having a rough time.
