June 29, (THEWILL) – The trio of Funke Akindele-Bello, Daniel K. Daniel and Blessing Egbe, have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science, Oscar.
The Academy unveiled 397 potential members, including Akindele-Bello, who was invited in the acting category, Omo Ghetto the Saga, U.S based actor, Daniel K.Daniel, in the category of Fugitive, The Soldiers Story and Blessing Egbe, who is on director’s list for African Messiah, Iquo’s journal.
If the invitees honour the call, they will participate in the Oscars’ nomination and winners voting process.
Nigeria’s newest invitees join the list of representatives serving as members of the Academy. Last year, Ramsey Nouah, Mo Abudu and US based director, Andrew Dosunmu, were in the 2021 class.
