Former Flying Eagles Captain, Isaac Promise Dies Aged 31

SAN FRANCISCO, October 04, (THEWILL) – A former captain of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria and Dream Team, Isaac Promise has died at the age of 31.

Promise, who represented Nigeria in age grade tournaments in U-17, U-20 and U-23, died as as a result of heart-related conditions.

The former Genclebirligi attacker plied his trade in the U.S before his demise. Nigerians have since paid tributes to him for the good life he lived.

Promise started out with the Golden Eaglets in Finland 2003, before captaining Samson Siasia-led Flying Eagles to a second place finish in 2005.

He also skippered the Olympic Eagles or the Dream Team to a second place finish at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
