SAN FRANCISCO, December 11, (THEWILL) – The publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah, 58, has died after a very brief illness.
THEWILL gathered from media sources that he died late Friday night after an undisclosed ailment. Details were sketchy as at the time of writing this report.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement said “Nigerian Media Has Lost A Big Fish”, expressing “shock and sadness” at the death of the influential journalist and columnist.
Describing the late media mogul as “a friend and ally,” President Buhari, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, condoled with the media fraternity, the Nda-Isaiah family, friends and associates of the deceased, saying “the country has lost a man of conviction, a resolute and dogged believer in a better Nigeria.”
Buhari said the late pharmacist, renowned columnist, and one time presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) “will be sorely missed,” adding, “This is a massive fish gone out of the media ocean.”
