October 16, (THEWILL) – Property worth millions of naira were on Saturday razed at Itobe Market, in Ofu Local Government Area, Kogi State.
An eyewitness, said one of the trader’s generator set caught fire that later spread to all shops within the vicinity.
Although no life was lost in the inferno but the eyewitness recounted that the means of livelihood of the traders were destroyed.
The Onu Itobe, Alhaji Salihu Adaji, said the incident has thrown the affected traders to the labour market.
He urged the Government to assist the victims with capital to restart their businesses.
