BEVERLY HILLS, September 29, (THEWILL) – Former Super Eagles forward, Finidi George, says he is unhappy after missing out on the Golden Eaglets coaching job.

THEWILL had reported that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had appointed Fatai Amoo for that position.

George was rumored as one of the likely coaches to be picked for the Golden Eaglets job.

Reacting to this development, the former winger while speaking on Brila FM on Tuesday stated that despite his unhappiness, he wished Amoo and other coaches appointed for other coaching roles well.

He said: “I’m disappointed at the same time, no hard feelings. I have to wish them well because whatever they are going to do is for Nigeria.

“No matter who they have appointed it is for the good of the country.

“Personally I will wish them well it’s not up to me to put myself there. If you apply for a job you still have people that will take decisions.

“They have appointed the coaches they feel are good enough so no hard feelings.”
