June 17, (THEWILL) – ‘s family have refuted setting up a GoFundMe account for her children.
The singer died in April, 2022 and a GoFundMe account was created by an unknown person purportedly for raising funds for her children.
In a statement released by a lawyer known as A.A Paul, the family asked the public to disregard the fundraiser.
“We plead with the general public to please respect our privacy. We appreciate the public for their concern and love.
“All her children are being taken care of and we have not collected any N32 million from anyone nor are we stranded or begging the public in any form as regard to a GoFundMe account making round. Please, everybody should be careful so that you don’t get scammed.
“The burial arrangement is in progress and we shall inform the general public once we have made full preparation. Please remember us in your prayers as we have seen how far the devil can go, but in the name of Jesus we are victorious and the bible says the step of the righteous shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day, that is our assurance.”
Nwachukwu was alleged to have been a victim of domestic assault from Peter her husband.
