BEVERLY HILLS, CA, June 25, (THEWILL) – An explosion has been reported at a fuel depot operated by the Folawiyo Group in Apapa, Lagos Nigeria.
The fuel depot (Tank farm) is located on Creek Road, just blocks from the Thisday Newspaper’s headquarters.
The cause of the Wednesday night (local time) explosion could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
At least 3 persons have been reportedly killed.
Emergency personnel and security operatives have arrived the scene of the incident.
The blast comes just few hours after a bomb blast targeted a huge shopping mall in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. At least 21 persons were killed in that attack.
Another blast also targeted a market in Mubi, Adamawa State. Police however said no casualties were recorded in that attack.
The Boko Haram, a terrorist group has been behind several deadly attacks in northern Nigeria.
