ovember 30. (THEWILL) – Against the backdrop of the recent verification and audit report embarked upon by the office of the Presidential Amnesty Program under the Interim Administrator, Maj. Gen Barry Tariye Ndiomu (retd), Niger Deltans and critical stakeholders have been advised to applaud the Interim Administrator as the reforms were aimed at bringing maximum peace and security to the region and entire nation.

The National Acting Secretary of the third phase of the Presidential Amnesty program, Gen Elaye Slaboh, flanked by Gen. Princewill Kotingo and Gen. Cairo, stated this while speaking to journalists in Yenagoa, on the alleged threat to attack Odoni, in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, the home town of Ndiomu, by alleged disgruntled individuals, who were irked by the recent verification and payroll fraud perpetrated by successive administrations.

According to Elaye, who also doubles as the All Stars Leadership of the PAP, and a native of Agbere, a neighbouring community to Odoni, since the massive discovery of payroll fraud at the PAP, there have been alleged aggrieved persons planning to attack Odoni community.

“l am using this medium to urge those concerned to sheath their sword as the people of Odoni, Bayelsa State Government and the security agencies, would not fold their hands and allow anybody to invade Odoni community”, he stated.

He further posited that this is not the first verification as the government and agencies have been carrying out verifications to detect fraud and ensure transparency and accountability.

Elaye said the one carried out by Ndiomu should not be seen as a witch hunt against anybody but be accepted as a well-thought-out idea to sanitize a bastardized and corrupt system.

He, therefore, called on mischief makers, their sponsors and those embarking on protests to desist forthwith, as the exercise should be commended and supported.

“Under Gen-Maj Ndiomu, we the third phase Ex-militants say bye-bye to protest and blocking of the ever-busy East-West road” he averred.
