May 26, (THEWILL) – A former governor of Adamawa State, Bala James Nggilari, has announced his withdrawal from the senatorial primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State.
Nggilari, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to APC in 2020, was contesting for Adamawa North senatorial zone.
But Nggilari in a letter addressed to the state chairman of the APC, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, said his withdrawal, was based on reasons known to him.
He, however, maintained his unflinching loyalty to the party.
Also, a former governor, Boni Haruna, who is contesting for the same position under the platform of the PDP, has equally withdrew from the race.
