July 06, (THEWILL) – A Premier League football player who was detained on rape allegations has been questioned regarding two further rape charges.
The player, who is in his 20s, was not identified due to legal restrictions. But, the Metropolitan Police reported on Tuesday, that a lady in her 20s made a rape complaint on July 4. That complaint was related to an alleged event that happened in June of this year.
On the same day, the individual was detained in Barnet, north London and the Police reported: “While in custody, he was further arrested on suspicion of two incidents of rape that were alleged to have been committed in April and June of 2021, against a different woman in her 20s.
“He has subsequently been released on bail to a date in August. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
