English FA Investigates England Trio For Breach Of COVID-19 Protocols

BEVERLY HILLS, October 05, (THEWILL) – The English Football Association has opened an investigation into an alleged breach of protocols by some football players. Jadon Sancho, Ben Chilwell and Tammy Abraham are said to have broken coronavirus protocols by attending a party.

The Borussia Dortmund player, Sancho and the two Chelsea accomplices are suspected to have attended a surprise birthday party thrown for Abraham at the striker’s London flat over the weekend. This contravenes the protocols agreed to by English teams and players.

Coronavirus regulations in the United Kingdom currently prohibit meetings of more than six people in social situations. The British newspaper The Sun claims that approximately 20 people were at the party. While the investigation is ongoing, THEWILL has learnt that England confirmed that the trio have been instructed to delay arriving for international responsibilities while the FA investigates the breach as a measure of precaution.

It is possible that similar measures taken against Mason Greenwood of Chelsea and Phil Foden of Manchester United who flouted coronavirus prevention measures while in Iceland when they were caught socialising with two Icelandic girls where they were left out of selection to represent their country might be taken against the three players should they be found to be in breach of regulations.

In The Sun story, Abraham was apologetic for the misdemeanour. They quoted him as saying, “I arrived home to find a small surprise gathering. Though I was totally unaware this was planned, I would like to wholeheartedly apologise for the naivety shown for the organisation and attending of this gathering. All I can do now is learn from it, apologise to everyone and ensure it never happens again.”
