English Clubs To Gain From Frosty Juve/Fiorentina Relationship To Land Dusan Vlahovic

November 25, (THEWILL) – Due to positive reports on Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, a number of English Premier League top clubs have expressed interest in the 21-year-old, and these EPL clubs may have an advantage against Serie A heavyweights Juventus.
Scouts were blown away by Vlahovic’s performances so far and the young player is now the top striking target for at least one top four side. This year, the Serbian international has been in sensational form, scoring ten goals in his 13 Serie A appearances.
The player’s representatives were also in England earlier this month to hold talks and reassure Premier League clubs that the youngster had not already agreed to join Juventus.
The Bianconeri have been the frontrunners in the pursuit of the Serb, who is now largely considered as one of Europe’s top young players.
Vlahovic is expected to be available for roughly £70 million, which is comparable to Erling Haaland’s release clause, which allows him to leave Borussia Dortmund for just under that amount.
However, Haaland comes with a salary package that will make him one of the highest-paid players in the world, whereas Vlahovic, who is the same age as Haaland at 21, would cost less than half as much.
“Vlahovic is really at the top of his game,” one source offered, insisting that “there are even some scouts who think he could be a better option than Haaland, which is extraordinary to many people but some really believe he is that good.”
Vlahovic’s contract with Fiorentina runs through 2023, however it was announced in October that he had turned down an offer to extend his contract and become the club’s highest-paid player. The Viola now want to cash in as quickly as possible in order to maximise the transfer fee.
Juventus thought they had almost completed a deal for Vlahovic, but Fiorentina turned them down. The club’s hierarchy is still unhappy with Juve for the way they signed Italy star Federico Chiesa from them in 2020, a two-year loan with an obligation to buy for less than £50 million, which now appears to be incredibly good value.
Rocco Commisso, the Fiorentina club president had previously remarked of the Chiesa deal: “How did they buy Chiesa? They stole him from us.”
Commisso would much prefer to sell to England, which could offer a Premier League team a significant edge, with Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton, and Newcastle all said to be monitoring Vlahovic’s contract situation.
