September 01, (THEWILL) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has allegedly confiscated Rebecca Nengi Hampson, aka Nengi’s Range Rover, for being linked to a Ponzi scheme operator.
The reality show star announced that she had bought a N40 million Range Rover last year, a few months after she bought a mansion in Lagos.
It was alleged that the Range Rover was a surprise gift by her alleged billionaire lover.
The reality show star had taken to social media then to praise herself for working hard to afford such an expensive automobile.
Her alleged lover was invited for questioning in July, for defrauding an Army Colonel and two professors.
He was taken to court and accused of defrauding his victims under the false pretence of multiple return on investment within six months to one year.
Following his arrest, many of his properties were confiscated including the numerous ones he gifted his lovers.
Nengi’s Range Rover was one of the properties confiscated by the EFCC.
