October 05, (THEWILL) – The Edo state government has congratulated Roseline Omokhoa Afije, popularly known as Liquorose, on her emergence as the first runner-up in the sixth season of the reality television show, Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija).
A statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Osaigbovo Iyoha, said Liquorose’s comportment and character, which endeared her to fans across the country, stood her out in the 10 weeks spent in the Big Brother House.
“On behalf of the Edo State Government, I congratulate Roseline Afije, also known as Liquorose, on her emergence as the first runner-up in the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality show. She put up a good showing with a dignified poise and character that earned her fans across the country.
“During her time on the show, she was mature and good-natured. It was not surprising that she became a fan’s favourite in a short while.
“As an indigene of our dear state, we are proud of her and her achievement and wish her success in future endeavors,” the statement read.
Liquorose emerged as the first runner up of Season 6 of the Big Brother Naija reality television show themed ‘Shine Ya Eye’.
Born Roseline Omokhoa in 1995 to the Afije family from Otuo in Owan East local government area of Edo state, Liquorose is a jack of many talents: a choreographer, entertainer, model, and video vixen.
Liquorose noted that she discovered her passion and talent in the entertainment industry quite early and didn ot hold back in pursuing her career.
She made her debut as an actress in the award-winning, Nigerian TV drama series, ‘The Johnsons’, in 2012. In 2015, she starred in the movie ‘The OAP’ and a short film titled ‘HEX’ in 2016.
As a video vixen, some of her notable works include her feature in the music video ‘Chop Am’ by Reekado banks, ‘Yo Yo’ by Selebobo, ‘Oh Oh’ by Runtown, ‘Jalla’ by Xcellente featuring Solid Star, Tuface, Pantoranki, among others.
